Delicate Courier – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Delicate Courier. By booking a shipment or using any of our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.


Definitions

  • “Company” refers to Delicate Courier (Pty) Ltd. 
  • “Customer” refers to any individual, business, or organization using Delicate Courier’s services.
  • “Shipment” means any parcel, package, or item booked for delivery.
  • “Service” refers to the collection, transportation, and delivery of shipments performed by Delicate Courier.
  • “Member” refers to any customer subscribed to a Delicate Membership Plan (Starter, Growth, or Enterprise).


Service Scope

  • Delicate Courier provides Standard and on-demand delivery services within Pretoria and surrounding areas in Gauteng, South Africa. 
  • We specialize in the transportation of perishable goods.
  • Our average delivery window is 60 - 90 minutes; however, timing may vary depending on traffic, weather, or operational constraints.

 

Bookings & Payments

  • Bookings can be made through our online platform at delicatecourier.shiplogic.com. 
  • Shipments can typically be booked in under 2 minutes.
  • Delivery pricing follows a flat-fee per zone structure, with discounted rates available to subscribed members.
  • Payments are due at the time of booking via credit/debit card or EFT.
  • EFT payments must reflect in Delicate Courier’s bank account before dispatch.
  • No refunds will be issued once a shipment has been collected for delivery.


Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must provide accurate and complete collection and delivery details. 
  • Perishable goods must be securely and appropriately packaged to endure local transit.
  • The sender is responsible for ensuring proper internal packaging, labeling, and sealing.
  • The recipient must be available at the delivery location. 
  • Any special handling or delivery instructions must be communicated at the time of booking.


Liability & Limitations

Delicate Courier takes all reasonable steps to ensure safe and timely deliveries. However, we are not liable for:

  • Delays resulting from traffic, road closures, strikes, extreme weather, or force majeure.
  • Indirect, consequential, or loss-of-profit claims of any kind.

If a shipment is damaged due to our proven negligence, compensation may be offered up to R20,000, limited to the declared shipment value.


Prohibited Items

Customers may not use our service to transport:

  • Hazardous, flammable, explosive, or illegal materials. 
  • Cash, weapons, live animals, or any items restricted under South African law.


Memberships & Subscriptions

  • Members under the Delicate Starter, Growth, or Enterprise Plans enjoy discounted delivery rates and priority booking. 
  • Membership fees are payable monthly or annually via EFT to Delicate Courier’s FNB account.
  • Membership renewals are voluntary and can be cancelled before the next billing period.
  • The Company reserves the right to revise pricing, benefits, or discontinue plans with reasonable notice.


Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations are only valid if made before dispatch or collection. 
  • Once a shipment has been collected, no cancellations or refunds will be processed.


Insurance & Risk

  • Customers are encouraged to declare the shipment’s value during booking. 
  • Additional insurance may be arranged upon request for high-value or sensitive goods.
  • The Company’s liability ends once delivery is made to the recipient or authorized agent.


Amendments to Terms

Delicate Courier may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any updates will be effective immediately upon publication on delicatecourier.co.za.
Continued use of our services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
